PCOS Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
ABOUT BETH BENESH

All my life I wanted children, so when I got married in 2014 you can imagine that becoming a mom was top on my list of priorities. I was devastated when I was diagnosed with PCOS shortly before my wedding. I was told I would need medication to get pregnant, so I eagerly listened and began the rabbit hole of infertility treatment as soon as I could. Long story short, we were blessed with a baby boy in May 2017 after my first round of IVF. I then went on to train for a marathon (successfully qualifying for the Boston Marathon) while exclusively breastfeeding my son-- which hasn't all been easy.

I know the trials and tribulations that go along with this journey.

Having worked as an advanced-practice dietitian in a world- renowned hospital for over a decade, I've seen what NOT making your health a priority can do to your quality of life. The current healthcare model hardly brings nutrition to the fore front, but I do believe times are changing. Amazingly, just like many other conditions, your body has the ability to heal when you commit to a healthy lifestyle - not just eating! We're talking sleep, stress, exercise, and environmental factors, too.

If you're gearing up for fertility treatment, will your current way of eating support your chances of success? If you're trying to conceive naturally, are your hormones out of balance?

I know the information out there for PCOS & fertility can be confusing. Being a dietitian, I still didn’t know where to begin! I was very overwhelmed with the conflicting recommendations I read for diet, exercise, and supplements, but I knew I wanted to put into practice the latest evidence – based recommendations out there.

I want to share with you the latest research on lifestyle modifications for PCOS that I implement daily in my own life including the wealth of knowledge I've gained in the PCOS training course for Registered Dietitians Nutritionists as well as my masters degree in functional nutrition. I can't wait to help you on your journey to manage yours.
